Cinders to Ashes, Dust to DustAll these stories seem to begin with the same words. ‘Once upon a time, in a land far, far away.’ Well, not this one. This one’s more of a recent tale, and with modern technology, nowhere’s really ‘far, far away’ unless it’s not on Earth. This story, however, is set on Earth. So this tale begins with the seldom used ‘not too long ago, in a place that’s not too far away from here, relatively speaking,’ and continues with ‘there lived a small family – just a man, a woman and a child. The first thing I thought to myself on the second morning was “oh my God, what the hell did I do last night?” Basically, I completely humiliated myself, under the influence of alcohol. I knew that much from the way Leon was sniggering in to his hand at the table. I glared at him.  “What?” I said, icily, not remembering anything. He snorted.  “Lillith, uhm…” he said, trying to think of the right words through laughter. “You’re a great dancer!” he managed to blurt out, before doubling over in hysteria. 6.2 - Inhibition6.2 – Inhibitions   
The first night we spent together, as a group of four, was…enlightening, to say the very least. Sure, the three of us (Andrew, Violet and I) had spent night together, sleepover parties, if you will (until Violet’s mum banned her from having sleepovers with boys – and Andrew and I felt too old and too masculine for them, anyway). But recently, the closest any of us come to being this close together was that night, the one Violet spent at Andrew’s place, delirious, feverish, and for most of the night, passed out. One stormy evening in Cydonia, Mattman and his apprentices, Pants Boy (Mattman’s excitable young follower who wears brightly coloured trousers) and Captain Bass (who doesn’t speak, and is mostly there for effect), are wandering the streets of the capital, Cydonia. So I haven't been here in a while, yeah, haven't done much stuff lately. I've been trying to write but haven't been inspired. It's depressing.

Also, I missed my one year dAnniversary. How depressing.

1. I am hideous. Really, I'm extremely ugly. I can't even look at myself in a mirror. I don't know how other people can bear to look at me.
2. The Olympics are compulsive viewing, seriously.
3. I wish I knew how to talk to people. But I don't.
4. Loneliness is an extremely painful emotion, but one that I am pretty well resigned to. I'm going to have to deal with it for a long while, in any case.
5. I pride myself on never having watched an episode of Big Brother.
6. I start reading several books at once and never get them finished.
7. I don't know if I'm going to get a decent OP this year.
8. Any potential lovers I have would have to be blind, or constantly drunk, I am that ugly.
